Today, I had the pleasure of spending time at The Pillowtop Factory, a locally owned mattress store in Marinette, Wisconsin. They offer the best prices on top-of-the-line mattresses in Marinette, Peshtigo, Oconto, Crivitz, Wausaukee, Menominee, Wallace, Stephenson, and surrounding communities. I have already examined their website with a fine tooth comb, and read all about the different types of mattresses, but I had yet to go to the store and see their products in person. I was excited because I actually am in the market for a mattress. A year ago, I threw away my mattress because it was hurting my back. Since then, I have slept on a series of Queen and King sized inflatables mattresses. It’s actually pretty comfortable when you use a thick mattress topper and good sheets.

I have found that I prefer the the 24″ tall king sized intex mattresses most of all. Unfortunately though, after 2 king size mattresses leaked in less than 3 months each, I realized that the 24″ king size inflatable bed was problematic. I tried the 18″ tall king size this time instead. This one is holding up great! But at only 18″ tall, it’s so short that it hurts to get up some mornings.

Lately, I have been wondering if it’s time to get a grown up bed again. I am very slow to make ANY decision, and I haven’t shopped for a mattress in 8 years, so I was ready to see what is out there.

I chatted with the owner for 2 hours while I tried out some of the mattresses and pillows on the showroom floor, and he graciously let me do an impromptu interview for my website. I learned that he was born in 1973 in Marinette, WI and raised in Menominee, MI. When he was 26, he moved to the Milwaukee area to work, and lived in several cities including Waukesha, New Berlin, Franklin, Pleasant Prairie, Racine, and more. I myself lived in Milwaukee during several different parts of my life, including Oak Creek, Franklin, New Berlin, St. Francis, and Bay View. So, we had a lot to chat about!

In June 2022, the family of 6 (mom, dad, and 4 kids) came back home to live in Marinette. They decided to start a family business. They opened The Pillowtop Factory in August 2022. When you walk into the showroom floor, you are talking directly to the owner. There is no middle man. When you buy a mattress, you can walk out with it the same day. If needed, they offer same day local delivery! They also have financing options available.

The bottom line is that when you shop at the Pillowtop Factory in Marinette, you are putting food on the table of a really nice and hard working local family, while getting a high quality product that will make your life better for years to come.
